I had my Torana in the car show on the oval that day. My kids and myself liked your display. When we were there, you guys were having some issues with a WCR B class that did not want to run.

- gtrtorana

Nice, didn't really get a chance to see the cars too close up. Thanks for that. Correct, the Lima WCR B had barely ran previous to the show at Diggers Rest and was a bit stubborn, probably shouldn't have taken it with me and settled for the A, 930 and the Y!

The date for the MMRC's next Annual General Meeting has been set for Saturday, 16th July, 2011 at the MMRC Clubrooms on James Cook Drv, West Melton - from 1pm.

Also plenty of work has been done on the permanent layout at the clubrooms, with now approximately 44 meters of double track HO Scale track (plus sidings etc) is now ready for running! We should have some photos when we have an "official" Opening Day very soon. Very Happy

A Bottle of bubbly will be broken over the bridge to 'Officialy' open the new system,....

On the assumption our insurance will cover random acts of rouge bottles if the bridge dose'nt survive!

Gotta watch those random acts! Laughing Not sure if insurance would cover instances like that... Laughing

Perhaps a ribbon across the tracks for a couple of locos to break through might be slightly less hazardous to the layout Smile

Hmmm,....

Not a bad idea,...

How about toilet tissue dyed to a color for the occasion and a locco can roll through it!

Of course if that don't work then that bottle can be cracked over those who built it eh,...?

So how did it go on the day any changes to the committee?

G'day everyone,...

So how did it go on the day any changes to the committee?

- crk

The main positions remain the same, only a couple of general commitee positions changed.

For the main positions though, it was a brutal fight!

With speaches and rallys,... Growing to open demonstrations,...  Mothers were takeng their children off the streets, riot police were deployed, then the insurgency began,..... in an effort to head off the escilateing situation once and for all, both sides seemed to have the same idea,...

There was a series of 'Tactical Nuclear' exchanges,...

As each side ran out of special weapons systems it devolved into a bloody toe to toe exchange between each sides 16inch Rail mounted navel guns.

When the last shell had been fired, the dust cleared, the dead counted, the eradiated ground declared unlivable for the next 10,000 yrs and votes tallied.

We all had hotdogs and went and 'played trains'

Uh, thanks, playtime?  ConfusedLaughing

In any case, the changes were to the vacant Vice President and Ordinary Member positions.

All other committee positions remained the same.
