Since we are all desperate for a route, maybe this person would like to consider releasing the Melbourne - Ballarat section when it's done. Smile Other routes overseas are often released in stages.

Looking good!
However I have some questions Rolling Eyes
When is it set? In the fist picture is what I presume is the Brown Coal mine at Bacchus Marsh, closed long ago? But there is an colour light signal in the forground, Bacchus Marsh is still uses Semifore signals. Shocked

Of intrest when did the Parwan trestle get turned into an embankment?

Do you have any pictures of the Melton trestle. Very Happy

Do you have the creators email, I live in Melton and Bacchus Marsh is close by? Smile

Well thats it Embarassed

I think the bridges on the Parwan curves were removed in the early 1970's.

Michael,

I don't know what the Victorian rail side of S.A. border looks like, so looking at what you got in your screenshots is just excellent. A bridge or embankment looks fine to me.
I would say with making any route that rail fans know well, will be a hard road to follow to satisfy all MSTS users.
From what I have just witness in your screenshots, whatever you do for this route is excellent. You can add the picky bits in version 2.0.

All the best and will be much waited for and a winner here in Oz.
Take your time, don't be tempted to rush it.

Here I thought you were asking to see the screenshots.

Michael,

I presumed maybe wrongly here that you are doing this route, but re-reading this thread are you putting pictures up on someone else's behalf. I don't want to know who, just curious as in my previous post, I thought it was you doing this route. Sorry if I've got it all wrong.

If I got it wrong please pass on my last comments to the route maker.
All the best and will be much waited for and a winner here in Oz.

hi all
received email from our mystery author today

To all many thanks for the words of encoragement.
I noticed a reference to the signals at BacchusMarsh on the forum.
Yes at the moment the signals are colour light as i do not have the knowledge yet to create sig script and config files
Its all japanese tome

If anyone has the knowledge to perhaps write some as per VR
practice containing 3 position searchlight signals, upper and lower aspects,
Distant signal, plus 2 position semaphore signal and light signals suitable for gantry and ground as well as a bracket post 2 position home signal with a left and right arm for dir at points.

until then progress is stalled at Bacchus Marsh, same as for Ballan, Gordon,Bungaree,Warrenheip and Ballarat.

As yet i havent decided whether to apply ATC with 3position signals between Ballan and Ballarat or 2 position as in the electric staff days.
However the trackwork continues.

Regards to everyone

anyone who can help here email me asp
cheers
ian Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
