Attending a Railcorp Information Day? READ HERE FIRST

Hi Guys,

Recently we've had a lot of requests for people wanting information on the Railcorp information days. Whilst asking questions like "Wheres the nearest train station?" or "Who do I talk to to have my day changed?" are completely acceptable questions, questions which ask about the precise, or inprecise nature of the testing that goes on are not.

If you really wish, look back at the previous threads where some helpful hints have been psoted. Otherwise, just go into the day well rested, confident and calm!

Asking for details of the Railcorp testing procedure from here on will carry a 20% warning.

Otherwise, is this thread the centralised thread for any Railcorp employment enquiry, hence limiting it to one area ?
Or has the moderation team not ruled thus far upon that ?

Individual job enquiries, such as the ones at the moment, are perfectly fine. However, asking about the testing process is not!

I think its been clearly explained above. By all means, ask questions relating to the job position, testing venues, what to expect if you get the job, what the medicals are like etc. Everything but the job testing itself. After a handful of people essentially trying to cheat the exams and doing themselves, and everyone else, a disservice.

Clear now?

Now I understand where the teams coming from, and why, yes. Smile

hi
I have been invited for  information day (trainee train guard) . In past I had attended an information day for the same position in May 2012. but I have heard that results for the information day tests are valid for 12 months. last time I progressed to assessment center stage.
I am bit confused on how it works. I hope you can guide me. Do i need to contact railcorp about it? Thanks

Hi,

I am in the same boat as you.
Attended information session in May and made it to the assessment centre.
I assumed they would use test results from then as well but I am doing the full information day testing for train guard.
In fact I am waiting in the park out front of central right now until 1230 to go in.

I figure they know what they are doing, and I will just follow the instructions of the emails as they come.
Best of luck to you.
