Should be red on orange , looks like the red L decal has fallen off leaving just  glue in the L shape.

No no no, They have taken the RED decal to Bunnings for a colour match test. Next will be the ORANGE decal Wink
Are you sure it's passenger and not a hopper Confused

My guess is these (behind the 422)

If I'm right, I would guess they will do the powered Tulloch DRC's as well, giving some competition to Trainbuilder and joy for Victorian fans also.

Probably too expensive a conversion to make Victorians happy. VR cut another door in as far as I remember ??
Easiest way to make the Victorians happy is to build the Daylight cars to go behind the 422 Very Happy
My guess RUB (?) cars would make a lot of Northerners happy too
Cheers
Rod
edit
if the windows were tinted Wink
The paint was right
The wheels were narrow
The Daylight signs were available
The lighting was fluoro (like) and unlike Auscisions previous efforts even lit at all Wink
And passengers were fitted!!

Red fades a lot quicker than other colours.

Can anyone explain the significance of 7305? Why would this particular model sell out so quickly? (especially when one of the other 73s in Tuscan looks exactly the same)

First model on the order form. Same reason "pack a" is always the first to sell out.

Two more blog updates - naked 73 and hints about the unannounced item identity.

So nothing actually special about it? You'd think the way it sold out before anything else it'd be a special loco.

Probably a good indication of how the possibly more unique 73's may sell...

Looks like this model could disappoint the anti-earlybirder's

I wonder whether the photo IS a cryptic clue???  Does anybody on here have ready access to the gear at RTM or other storage areas? They seem to have been quite specific in photographing a bodgy "L7" sign, so if some enterprising slewth can track down the prototype item of rolling stock, it would a dead giveaway. Hell, the top section is crazed where the red bit has come off and it is just like a finger print with VERY noticeable lines of difference. It shouldn't be too hard for someone to identify that EXACT item of rolling stock I would say.

G'day Allan,

It was mentioned earlier (above) by another learned forum reader/contributor. Personally I have no in-depth knowledge of what paint schemes were used with these "L7" logos.

However, I stand by my earlier comment that that picture is like a finger print......I assumed (always a dangerous thing to do, I know), that the picture is of an "out of service" item of rolling stock (including locos and sparks), hence my thought that if all those would-be detectives out there who have ready access to places like RTM Thirlmere (for example), might be able to match the pic with a real item of rolling stock.

If the folks at Auscision had not meant for the pic to be a cryptic clue, surely they would've tried to get a pic of an in-tact "L7" logo on that particular item of stock.

Or for that matter the orange is really orange! So now we're also looking for a missing dark blue L on light blue 7, or upside down wagon with a missing part of the logo that might have been blue or red or white, and the item may or may not be in this state of damaged logo now (pic could be taken long ago). Speaking of states, they didn't mention QLD or WA in the blog yet NSW, Vic & SA do get mentioned along with "model or models" which may also tell us something. Maybe its not even something that rolls along the track, instead being a lineside item!

As much as I want it to be a suburban S-Set or interurban V-Set I can't see how it could be.  The L7 logo is usually close to an ajoining door or window and usually has the carriage number underneath.  I have been staring at this for so long I am starting to wonder if it is even stainless steel or something brush painted an off-white colour?  (look at the image in full screen mode)

The thing that has me stumped is that seam/join to the left of the logo and then to the left of that is something casting a shadow or reflection.  Cannot find any photographic evidence of what it might be.

Hopefully I am completely wrong and it is the S-Set in all variations and will be available soon.  Very Happy

S/S joint interstate stock could be a master stroke

Would get my vote$

I am thinking it looks suspiciously like the front end of a 'K' Set Goninan Suburban driving car. The front is flat panel, the logo would be right - location did vary before the headboards were installed. The shadow at the top could be the gutter lip area leading to the roof and the rivets and shadow down the left side would match the centre door area.

Casula have already announced a RTR S set. Bergs and Casula have run the tulloch double deck cars so these would fit in nicely.

Its seems to fit but half the fun is speculating!

I'd love too be wrong and find its a V set somehow but I just can't see it in this pic.
