BOTH LOCO'S ARE NOW SOLD........

I have for sale an Austrains 442 class (number 44222) in "Reverse" paint scheme and lightly weathered; as well as a SAR Mustard Pot 700 class (number 705).

The 442 is fitted with a DCC "sound" decoder from ESU Loksound and has Kadee couplers. The Kadees have been mounted on revised mounting blocks I have fitted (drilled and tapped, so the Kadees are bolted on with Kadee's own delrin screws) They provide for very close (prototypical) coupling.

The 700 class is similar, but is fitted with a Tsunami sound decoder.

They have seen some limited use on my home layout, but the locos are both in excellent condition.

I'm asking $329- EACH and for members on this site, I will pay the Registered postage within Australia. When considering this price, please bear in mind the value of the loco itself + the decoder + speaker + fitting costs.

The 442 has LED lighting at both ends, but the 700 class does not have any lighting connected....purchaser could fit and connect to the decoder if so inclined....I can supply 2 white LEDs and resistors at no additional cost.

If they don't sell here within 7 days I will be placing them on ebay with an auction starting price of $299- (or a BUY NOW price of $375-), plus postage of $15- (each).

PM if you are interested.

Cheers,

Bill Roach

Brass SAR 520, painted and decaled as 526 (without stripes, though with all remaining decals)...No price offered (and I know it will get the groans)...the reason I offer no price is because there is no need to inflate their price, simply because of 'speculators'. If your genuinely interested make a honest offer and PM me Smile...these things shouldn't just go to 'ebay', they should go to true SAR enthusiasts, and I'll keep all 'bidding' involved with those whom place their respective bids. I hate to sell it, though I want it to go to a good home Smile

I have 2 DCC throttles that I no longer require, as I have gone to full radio-control on my NCE layout.

These 2 throttles are from my original DCC set-up from back in the mid 1990s when MRRC was selling the "SYSTEM ONE" 5amp set-up for over $1,500-... (and "YES" I did pay that much for it!!! doh!).

So, I have the original "main" throttle...I think it's known as a WCT01....which looks very similar to the current NCE Pro Cab and Power Cab. The differences are with regard to the placement of the "CONSIST" buttons, the "SHIFT" key is used to turn the back light ON/OFF and there is a "BRAKE" button where the "MOMENTUM" button is now located. However, the basic operations of selecting a loco/s and driving them are exactly the same.

I also have a WCT31 throttle. This is virtually identical to the NCE's Cab04.

Obviously, both of these are "plug-in" type cabs and come with the necessary coily cords with the jack on the end that looks like a telephone wall socket type thing (is it called an "RJ12" or something like that?).

Asking prices:

WCT01: $75-
WCT31: $35-

If somebody wants both throttles, they can have them for $100- neat.

Postage is at the buyers pleasure Wink or pick-up from Kadina SA is available.

If no sale in the next 7 days, they will go on to ebay.

PM me if interested.

GONE!!

Give away FREE to a good home (but you pay postage).......

I was just out in the shed looking for some green translucent plastic (see the current Eureka thread). I didn't find what I was looking for but did come across one pair of side frames to suit a CPH or Creamy Kate rail motor from a Stephen Johnson kit. It's just the one pair, enough for one bogie; the SPUD drive bogie I reckon, because there is also 2 small metal "brackets" which would allow joining the side frames to the SPUD.

Around $5- for postage I reckon....

I have for sale....1x pair of Mansfield Brass Models 43 class bogies (2nd series) along with the Canon motor (with the 2 brass mounts still attached) and the brass drive shafts.

Please note that the bogies have the usual problem in that the threaded hole has lost its thread, so the 2 sides of the bogies are held together with "bulldog" clips. This method is an ingeneous idea (not mine) and the motor/bogies work very well. Bogies still have the well-detailed side frames attached.

These have recently been removed from a model I just purchased.

$40- plus postage.

PM if interested.

Also have FOR SALE my Bruce Akrigg-built NSWGR 90 foot turntable. Stupidly, I paid a King's ransom for this table a year or so ago and I know I'll never get back the large outlay. This is a mechanised table with a nice slow motion (can be speeded-up...just crank up the dial on your DC controller a bit higher). It comes with a large aluminium indexing ring and 4x indexing tabs that can be added at any point on the ring. I never used that part of the tables function.

The turntable is still currently mounted on a bare plywood base with supporting frame, measuring approx 820mm x 820mm and has a cut-out in one corner where a H&M controller can be mounted. There are 36 radiating tracks (spokes?) of varying lengths. There is a heap of wiring underneath.

It would not be practical to try and post the whole module, so I'm just "selling" the turntable itself....but if anybody wants to call and collect it from me at Kadina, SA I will throw-in the whole module with tracks and indicating lamps at the end of each track at no extra charge. The radiating tracks are Peco code 100....not sure about the table's own rails, but think they are either code 100 or 83.

I'm asking 50% of what I paid for this t/table (remember, I did say I was stupid to pay what I did):

Asking price $300- (ONO) + postage

If you'd like to see photos, let me know your email address.....try as I may, I cannot work out how to post ANY attachments on this site ( even copying and pasting a piece of text or website etc from elsewhere is impossible).

If, by chance, an Adelaide-based modeller (or Yorke Peninsula SA) wishes to take the whole module, I would be willing to transport it in my trailer as far as Port Wakefield.

PM if interested.

Hi All,

Selling some of my collection thanks to a change in space. Please PM me for any enquiries - will be happy to do some negotiating on price:

SAR 900 Class - 901

900 Class loco was manufactured by OzRail models and has slight defect on rear wing and lettering. Removed from box for display in cabinet only.

10 English Electric 900 Class diesel locomotives were manufactured at Islington Workshops, Adelaide, from 1951. As the first of the mainline diesels in Australia, they typically operated routes such as The Overland and East West Express. In later service they were retired to freight services before Australian National retired them in 1985.

V&SAR Wooden Cars - 7BE & 10AE - NOW SOLD

Auscision V&SAR AE and BE wooden cars are complete with fine detailing. Only removed from boxes for display in enclosed cabinet.

Built at Newport Workshops from 1906, 10 AE and BE cars were used as Joint Stock compartment seating accommodation on The Overland. In the mid 1930s a striking green livery was applied, but this was retired again in the mid 1940s and the cars reverted to red-brown. They were retired with the advent of the modern Corten Steel stock still in use today.

AN Passenger - CLP 17 Arabana

Austrains CLP in AN Passenger livery, only unboxed for test run.

Starting life as the CL class of the 1970s, the CLPs were rebuilt in the early 1990s to provide a specialised passenger locomotive for trains such as The Ghan and Indian Pacific, with a livery designed to match the cars. In 1997 the Australian National Passenger operations were sold, and the locomotives went into freight service with Australia Southern Railroad and later GWA.

V/Line - H2

Powerline V/Line Orange and Grey H-class (near identical to T-Class currently in use with various operators). Excellent condition.

Similar to the T class, the H class were a specialised locomotive used for hump shunting. With this phased out, their specialised features have been put to use in a variety of shunting yards with operators such as Pacific National. They are visually almost identical to the T Class still in service with operators such as El Zorro and SCT.

1x N 460 City of Castlemaine & 1x BS Steel Car - NOW SOLD

One of just 200 models produced by Auscision, this locomotive has only been out of the box to be test run. Powerline passenger car is missing couplers, but otherwise in excellent condition.

Built in Victoria by Clyde from 1984, the N Class have been the workhorses of the V/Line passenger network, particularly with the introduction of the RFR project. Prior to 1995, the N Class saw use on interstate service such as The Overland, but their current use is limited to loco-hauled passenger services to regional centres such as Warrnambool. N460 was the first loco painted into the new livery in 2008, designed to combat issues with level crossing visibility.

AD 6035, weathered and full DCC and sound.Runs like a dream but it has to go as will not fit on the turntable and one curve is a little too sharp. There is however one small problem, the con rod on left front has come adrift not sure why and my eyes are not good enough to see why,but it runs with the rod lifted up as there isn't much movement on it.The other problem is its not keen on code 100 points. Its boxed and will be registered from UK.Postage is $24. because of problems  will let loco go for $630.
