Spencer's Brook?

Yeah I was thinking Spencers Brook.

The water pipeline is a clue as there can't be too many locations where the water supply runs next to a line with rails still intact in Wheatbelt WA.

I might have a guess at Erikin?

Bastard - been eyeing off that place for a while but not had a chance to go in there yet.

Dead end siding heading south and the main line curving away to the west points it out as Berrigan. A sight I am familiar with.

Reckon you're on the money Rodo, I have a similar photo but with a thick covering of frost on the ground from an early winter's morning.

Yes Doctor,

It is made more obvious by Balwin's bus depot at the end of the siding and it must be fairly recent because those grey box trees have only just reached that stage of maturity.

I have seen some old maps that show rail easement continuing south toward Barooga but when the line reached Berrigan there was agitation from selectors at Finley for a rail connection. The newly establishing town became the terminus for over 20 years until the Tocumwal extension was built.

Berrigan it is. Taken a few weeks back whilst I was over that way on holiday.

Over to you Rodo!

The station near this train was named after some of my extended family.

There is little here nowadays to show it ever existed.

Yes, T347.

My Devitt cousins had selected land there and cut logs and milled some which kept the railway going for many years. Just scrub and pine trees there now, as well as a paddock here and there. No trains for the last 50 years.
