Fixed in dev code. For whatever reason it didn't like the uppercase URL tag.

The Railpage Forum for Gheringhap Sightings still wont let me upload my weekly newsletter, three Sunday's in a row now. I can write in the forum and upload it but it won't upload when I cut & past (Crl C & Ctrl V) It always comes back with " you must enter a message when posting" I reported it to this site last Sunday.

This problem only surfaced from 31/3/2013.

It looks like the problem is with FireFox. I just tried it with IE and I managed to upload two weeks of newsletters.

I guess this would fall into Suggestions... but I had a thought earlier, In regards to the photo-header on here, A clever idea would be to have photos relevant to the forum being viewed...

Example, Melbourne Suburban forum, use photos tagged as Metro or similar, A photo of a Comeng or Trackwork occuring in the Melbourne suburban area. Sydney Suburban, You could have a photo of the XPT or Waratah or Sydney-suburban trackwork.

Not really a request but maybe a nice little idea as a side-project?

Anyway, Thought I'd voice that.

New one: Upon clicking a users name, in this instance Loco on either Cesium or here, I get an embeded version of the search page in the Thread Review section

http://puu.sh/2B7bA

EDIT: Also can't PM users from that pop-up thing on here.

There doesn't seem to be an ability to create relative hyper-links anymore.

The URL tag hasn't supported relative links in the past. I used to use HTML anchors (a href) for relative hyper-links. You can see many of them in my post in the Victorian Popular Threads index.

It looks like HTML anchors are now edited out when you post.

URL tags are borked for me, e.g. this post:
http://www.railpage.com.au/f-p1820839.htm#1820839

Has an embedded link that turns into jibberish:
http://in%20adelaide%20they%20kicked%20in%20%24291mil%20for%20seaford/

I thought it might be just a poster doing it wrong but it is happening frequently in the last day or two across multiple threads. Opera and Chrome.

Not a bug (well, I do keep 'losing' the link, thinking it's up higher Laughing ), however, would it be possible to move the "Watch this thread for replies" link up higher, next to the new thread and reply buttons, above the quick reply box?

Not a OMG I have to have this done now!!!eleven1! sort of thing, just a 'niceity'. Very Happy

Can you be more specific? What aspect of it? At what time (it goes offline every hour for 30 seconds to update the index)? What steps did you take?

When using my HTC Desire with Android (obviously); I tap the reply box to bring up the keypad to write, it won't bring up the keypad. In short I can't post from my phone due to this.

when  I log in the dates on the forum list go to the year  1970.

I've got a simplified editing panel configured for the Forums in dev code, which is optimised for mobile devices. I'm in the process of replicating that across the rest of Railpage.

I'm pushing this update through to Railpage soon Smile

Have you set your timezone? Does this happen consistently, after each login?

Under your user profile, you can disable the rich-text editor and use the straight text one instead.
Speed
Just a short thanks for that tip Speed.

Was trying to Copy/paste from a word doc into a reply post,  kept displaying zilch when submitting it.

Went into my 'UP' and disabled RTE, tried again but still a fail.  Cleared cache, left it disabled and all works fine again.

No idea if that's what's meant to happen, but it works.

Am using Mozilla Firefox.

Maybe try copy to Notepad or Wordpad first, then copy from there to the browser? (I do that to remove any MS Word formatting before posting long posts onto various forums)
