Michael and team.  This new version looks terrific.

I do think it would be good if we had a forum menu item and also a news menu item. Information is good.  So we could split correspondence into News and Forums?

Regards
Brian

Nope. Too much horizontal real estate taken up for a tiny amount of vertical real estate.

OK - I thought that only applied to making posts with the quick reply.

Presumably once I tick the box it will stay ticked until I untick it?

And will this address the age-old RP problem of when someone deletes a post from that thread, that it unwatches that thread for everyone?

Should do, but there's also the button at the top and bottom of each page named "Notify me of new posts" Smile

Nope. Haven't looked at that one yet.

The button is exactly the same in all but name.

...and in the process you're missing out on everything else that Railpage has to offer. Railpage is more than just discussion forums Smile

It's staying.

Since the new format highlights the other sections Railpage offers I checked these other sometimes maybe forgotten about sections yesterday. That is how I found the problems I mentioned in those two PMs yeterday. Apart from those two matters, the rest of the other sections provided an interesting read and thanks for reminding me and maybe others of the existance of those other sections.

I am not getting any post notifications via email for awhile now, and I have noticed that there is no 'watch this thread' link below each thread anymore.
Has management decided to do away with this function?

The scroll bar in the Quick reply box does not work correctly ie it is not possible to scroll back to the top of the message.

In search it is still not possible to select a forum and then forum titles for example

In search right clicking on a search result used to enable you to select to display the message in either a new window or tab, these do not work anymore.

In editing a post it is now only possible to select an entire paragraph rather than using the mouse to select a portion of text.

Someone's been playing with the screen width - It's not like I'm using a 600x400 screen *shudders at the thought* - It's a 13" Macbook Pro...

Funnily enough, I'm on a TAFE computer and it is fine.

Still something weird going on. When not logged in I see "Logged in as" to the left of Search and the home page looks like I'm logged in (latest Forum Posts on RHS).

Yes, I have as I regularly do. Versioning is traditionally done in this format - x.y.z where x = major, y = minor, z = bugfixes
