Thanks Tranx that is actually the link I posted I dont know what happened though, but you should still be able to click on the original link and get there. Railpage must have thrown a wobbly or something. Thanks again for posting the proper link though.

They are all going somewhere and the peanut's behind are not that much of peanut's really. Yes I am a friend of his and admit it. At least these have some kind of official backing and have local people working on some of them. The ghost's that do work at some other places never seem to get shown, or is that because ghost don't like to be photographed.

That is a nice attitude to a group or town that is actually trying to save something, more people should support these type of things and preservation groups in general the more volunteers the less work each volunteer has to do. Many hands make light work. All they are after is help and so to help them out I put up the links, will you help them or one of the other groups if it is possible. I am into rail preservation myself and do volunteer my time to a museum , so I do know about trying to get volunteers to things like this, if you don't advertise the fact you don't get anyone and also these links may contain some useful data that someone might find interesting etc no matter who puts it up. I am on most of these groups Facebook sites and just want to do my bit for the group irrespective of who is in the Facebook group.

I have supported the other group as well on here giving suggestions to get things moving so even if I do not like the peanut in charge, does not mean I snub them. Whether they use any of the idea's though is their business.

Temora council and locals are behind this Fireman Dave, they want to do something to save some railway heritage unlike Newcastle for instance that wants to obliterate it. Lots of place's want to remove all traces of railways in their towns or cities one wonders why though. But being rude to a group that is trying to actually do something constructive is a bit rough especially as I understand you are in the rail industry as well as being a rail fan. If more local councils got behind things more could be saved like this. At least this one is the locals actually want it for something, not like some places where the locals don't give a fig or outsiders come in to do a station restoration with hardly any input from the locals at all.

Yes I have been vocal of a certain group and still am as locals should want and help to keep their local station up, not people who have to come in from places miles away and tell them that it should be restored and then try to do it.

It's good to see the council and locals are behind it. How long for though? It's all well and good early on, but how long can the enthusiasm last? I haven't seen anything to suggest an acctual purpose for the project other than the station has been neglected. I agree the station looks terrible. I've worked through there many times and I'm shocked at the condition. I'd suggest that if the council were really that serious they would have been a bit more pro-active.

I still think this is going nowhere which is sad. I suggest look at the group who are looking at re-building Albury yard. They have a defined end goal, and the people who know what they are doing to push it.

Ok and not wanting to start a flame war or something but what has Phil Buckley got to do with it. I have enemies in some places too, but you cannot stop them being part of a group or something you are involved in. Everyone seems to dis this one person who as far as is known might just have been speaking the truth, so if it is proved that what he has said is the truth a lot might have egg on their faces. Yes I am a friend of his but I would say this about anyone that was being harassed like this for no real reason. Yes I have picked on a person on here as well as his group but with good reason, as this one person seems to think that money is provided for his restoration idea's by a genie or something. At least some can see that this is not so.

These places have not been selected by Phil Buckley personally, but have been selected by either a local council or a group that genuinely wants to get things done. If Phil is helping them or something then good luck to him, at least he is getting off of his backside and actually doing something to help them, I am the same putting them up on here to help them, more than I can say for some on here at times. It is not what is posted by the looks, but who post's it and who is involved  in it. This is not a good idea to select things this way.

As I have said I have people who most probably hate me but I do not go round with a chip on my shoulder or worrying that much about it. I have tried to help the other mob that I was having a go at as they seem to have stalled a bit while others are going ahead. I hope they can use some of the idea's, I have put forth to them, if not they cannot be interested in going ahead. If I came face to face with the leader of this group, I am not going to drop him where he stands or something, it is just not the way to do it, I will continue to disagree with him at times though, that is called my opinion of something.

But reacting to a person's name because they have come on board a website or Facebook site is just plain crazy in my mind. Just because they like a site or visit the website whatever is nothing really. They have the right to like or sign up where they like on the internet. So I would ask that you look at the bigger picture of what they are doing and leave the personal snipes out of it.

I have just been advised that Temora station has had some John Holland temporary repairs done in recent weeks.....first stage in fixing the vandal damage. Good to hear this as another project goes ahead a bit more.
