Sweeping Changes at Flickr

The  'uploading by email' problem at flickr continues....

In the meantime, I've set up a temporary Picasa account, which is
one of the few that allows uploads by email.

Done a bit of a test...looks OK on big screen, but viewing on my HTC mobile thing
you need to click the small thumbnails to view the picture.

This is temporary for tonight / tomorrow or until flickr fix the problem.

Stawell  WebCam #2 can be viewed at

Enjoy tonights action (?)

Gavin.

Could someone please do this test about their sets. Add a photo or two to a set, and then save it. Does it come up with an error after saving?

Last night I added a photo to, and re-organized my "XPT" set, and didn't have any issues? What's the error message? Have you contacted Flickr? Might just be a bug in the new code that needs fixing?

Flickr is still dead.  http://www.facebook.com/Railpage will have the images until flickr comes back.

CTRL+F and "Error" usually helps...

OK, the interface to flickr is now back up and over 900 images have just been sent to the site.  I would expect the processing and delivery to take a few minutes.  I can already see some images arriving onto the stream but they are out of order.

I have turned off the facebook feeds.

We now return to our regular programming.

The help links are down the bottom of the page, and of course with the new coding as soon as you reach the bottom..... well..... it loads more contact images

I had zero problems e-mailing the help desk earlier this week with my issue, which was handled speedily and professionally. Perhaps the problem exists between the user and the keyboard?

There have been numerous accounts/listings of quite quickly chewed up bandwith too, along with multiple coding errors

While I didn't know about the changes till today and while I don't use it for gunzelling photo's I quite like the changes tbh. As a free user there's no longer a limit on the photo's that are displayed on your stream and a terrabyte will last a long time so long as you don't upload everything at full sized raw file size really. I had a long forgotten account at imageshack and they're just about to make similar sounding changes to the way their sights work as well

I think the understated arrogance expressed by the Flickr automaton in that response is enough to convince me I won't be uploading any more images Sad
