http://www.railpage.com.au/f-t11344745.htmI live in Wyee just up the road from the station. A few years ago the sidings were gradually removed starting with the up loop and electricity siding. The rails were stored on the down loops for a while before they were removed. They then removed the ballast and left it as a huge ditch. Nowadays, the only remaints are the crossover at the sydney end and a crossover between a section of the down loops at the newcastle end (althougth almost buried and hard to make out).
Is the Wyee Cement Siding still in use (unlikely)? If not, when was it last used/booked out of service?
It's good to see there's ample room for quadruplication through Wyee![]()
I actually spent some time looking at the main north and believe most of the track could be triplicated or quadruplicated except for between Cowan and Woy Woy.
