Looks like a good show coming up. Must compliment the Epping people on their web site announcing the show. Well set out to tell us when, where (in detail), how much to get in and what we would see there.Although bus services have been provided by the club, maybe a small mention on the web site to the fact on the Queens Birthday weekend, there are no trains running between Central and Newcastle - a three day shutdown on the Main North (as happens every Queens Birthday weekend).
I must be the one visitor from ID. Quite a few other overseas visitors have checked it out though.

If people are aware of this then this may alter their travel patterns.
Thank you very much for that info. I'm coming down from Brisbane to Newcastle to see the family but was planning (on one of the three days) to then catch a train down to Hornsby for the show. Looks like I'll be driving now. Bugger. There are express rail coaches from Newcastle not an all stops grind

Thanks, if I'm reading the rail-bus timetable from the smeg site correctly - the express buses do not stop at Hornsby. There is a limited stop route that does include Hornsby, but at 2 1/2 hours for Broadmeadow-Hornsby, I'll drive.Tony

Does anyone have photos they can post for those of us living interstate?
Thanks
Andrew
I went today & enjoyed the exhibition, there was bit of a queue to get in (we arrive at 9:50) but once in it was not too crowded & was nice and easy to get around.yep - I got some LLVs too - they went thru the pile and got an undamaged set, but still only charged $110 - very nice of them! The BOB sets looked really wonderful to an uneducated eye - they'll look great behind a 32.
As others have mentioned there are some very nice layouts on display, Binalong was very good and as I have spent some time in the general area due to work a few years ago it was nice to see & yep the semaphores are a nice touch, I also liked John Parker's O scale Valley Heights layout - very well done & a credit to John.
At the Ontrack stand I asked about the early LLVs (Ontrack had posted about a delay due to packaging problems in their post on this forum), they said they actually had some where the lamp lamp irons that contact the blister packaging got bent & where selling them as 2nds - at $110 per set I thought it was too good a price not get get some.
All in all a very good exhibition, congrats to the organisers & I look forward to attend many more in the future.
Cheers Alex.
