As of this afternoon 901, 847 and 904 were lined up on the EDI parking line no doubt waiting for the low loader to collect them, I'll see if I can get a photo tomorrow.
The GWN's are not fitted for remote operation but will be coupled up to the older locos which have remotes, the length of the rakes are at present between 48
and 52 trucks @20 Ton UL. and 95 T loaded.
There are currently 7 or 8 trains a day running leaving at all hours there is no timetable but generally a train is on the tip pocket every 2 1/2 hours. The best places to catch more than one are either at the 21 km junction or at Iron Baron as this is where they cross.
Speaking to one of the drivers when they were testing he reported that climbing from Sinclairs Gap to Iron Queen with the old girls on a loaded train usually dropped the speed to below 20kmh but the GWN''s were pulling 55 and doing it easy.
