    Mitcham is a good guess, being the highest station between Melbourne and Lilydale/UFTG but it's not the station we seek.

    Balaclava ( Surprized me - Windsor being in a cutting and Balaclava elevated makes one imagine it would be the other way around ! )

    EDIT - As can be seen by my comment , I did not mean to say Balaclava !!  Will leave the error to stand Embarassed

    The station is the highest on its line between Melbourne and the Metro terminus

    Ha. The station is not shown, but its location is.  I guess that's another hint - the station in question was opened after the time the 1927 Grades Book was was assembled.

    Well done! Huntingdale it is. Not listed in the Grades Book, but the North Road LC is shown and is at a higher elevation that Oakleigh.  Quite clever, I thought, to choose a station not in that book!

    My next clue was going to be something about being a future junction, but was not needed. Over to Valvegear...
