Leighton Holdings Ltd has won a $1.15 billion contract to build Sydney's north west rail link in a joint venture with global conglomerate ACS Group's Dragados.



The New South Wales government contract included the construction of two 15km rail tunnels between Bella Vista and Epping, which will be the longest built in Australia, and the excavation of new underground stations for the link.

after years of procrastion over any line from Epping to somewhere and/or inner NW metro, we finally have a govt getting on with the job and starting a project in their term, not pushed out into some distant horizon beyond the next election which equals never!
