    Not much to go on with this pic, so a couple of clues to kick it along: it's in NSW and near the terminus of the line.

    Photographing the mileage post was serendipitous; I'd actually stopped to snap an unrelated piece of "infrastructure".

    I might try a long shot here. I can't recall any mileposts on the Gulgong-Maryvale line but I'll plump for the Gulgong end of that based purely on Wurx's cryptic clue with Infrastructre in inverted commas? 8)

    Shouldn't have used the inverted commas, nothing cryptic meant; the infrastructure in question is of the most basic nature.

    This is the infrastructure I was photographing: the southernmost West St levelxing, on the edge of town.

    This view is looking Up, with the mileage post visible in the distance.

    Thank you Graham4405 that is the one, and Yes it is Coles Beach the branch (not sure if it is connected to the mainline) that heads off along the Don River near Davenport. It was too easy!
