    You were making a valid point until this throw-away line at the end.

    Perhaps the volume for the DVA is off? Perhaps specify to 131500 the set and car number so it can be investigated, rather than making silly comments like the above? How can the problem be fixed if nobody brings it to their attention? Perhaps it's important enough to complain about on Railpage, but not to report to CityRail so it can be fixed?

    A49 has been out testing all day on the west today.

    46 was in the Campbelltown yard this morning. Not sure if it was about to take on passengers or still in testing as I couldn't see the desto text from the platform.

    Just passed A44 which has the new logo and added abit of colour to the front cab, so not just a boring yellow anymore

    Both are on Campbelltown via Airport line today. A48 was off Central about 15 minutes ago.

    A46 was sighted last Thursday, 27/6/13, 1655hours (approx.) at Museum (City Inner) on a Liverpool (via Regents Park) service.

    I saw A48 this morning at Macarthur on the 6:40 to the city and I was on A45 the 6:29 to the city both with Sydney Trains logo instead of the Waratah.

    A41 and A37 have that as well and I went on A48 having that. The logo and scheme of Sydney Trains look very nice. I hope they do that with all A sets. I remember how there were Blue and Yellow CityRail logos were on the sides of some S set motor engines back in 2002, it looked very nice.

    My minor observation. The Waratah I was on today had oscar style DVA announcements. "This train will stop at" has made a return (a different recording - now spoken very quickly).  

    They have gone back to using the old station recordings. IIRC a few of those are pronounced incorrectly ie Berala.

    Location: Fully reclined at the pointy end.
    The newer, faster DVA actually flows better until it hits the station names, which when I was last in Sydney were still the old files (with the unnaturally slow speech).

    This train was scheduled to work a train to Campbelltown but a freight train broke down in front of it causing a few changes to the operational plan.  It later returned to the City via Strathfield.

    Thanks for that info, i thought it might have been as much later on when i heard about the freighter having staffing issues.
