My complaint is about moderation as well and I have to say that I am disappointed that one of the moderators was able to action a report against himself and produce a "no result" it would be called corruption in the "real" world! Apologies... but I feel strongly about this.
I've only just seen this, so I'll respond.
One thing that you forget is that Railpage is a privately owned website, of which the forum is part of that. This means that it is not a democracy, and is a dictatorship. If the admins/moderators of these forums don't like what you post, then it is actually their prerogative to delete your comment(s) without consultation; lock a thread, or respond to any report against them - especially one as trivial as your's was, or even ban people from the site if need be.
Your membership here is a privilage, not a right.
Also, a mistake a lot of people seem to make is that admins/moderators are not allowed to have an opinion on anything, and have to remain impartial when commenting on things within a topic. This is a load of rubbish. Admins/Mods are allowed to express opinions as well as you are. If I think that you're behaving like a foamer, then I'll damn well tell you that you are. Likewise, I'll tell you if what you post is a load of bollocks.
The sooner some people get over their misconseptions about the way admins/mods should behave on this site, the better.
