Hi All,

I have added photos of the ACN's in the locomotive category on my Website:
These work 100 wagon ore trains for Karara in the Midwest (Geraldton WA)

http://trainsaustralia.net/index.php/Locomotives

Will be adding a few others over the next few days.

Cheers

I am pretty sure some went directly to WA, so technically not ex 4100s. I do have a pic of a 4100, 4175 I think it is, sitting behind the fence at EDI in Maryborough, all brand new and shiny. At the time, I did wonder about the orange cowcatcher. I enjoy driving them.

Hi expost,

I think some were in operation in Qld before they came to WA.

Hi David,

Nice site! Very Happy

Say if I came to your site and had a look through all of your photos and I wanted to contact you (not thru here) and wanted to ask you questions about something that was there, you don't have a "contact us" page nor do you have a "sign up" page for people to become members of your site!  you've got a login page but that's it! I'm not being harsh or judgemental here, just providing some feedback for you in the future!

Thanks

Pretty sure you are correct, some did see service in Qld before heading west, up in the Mt Isa and Newlands systems, but others did head directly to WA. I was doing some reading at work recently. Unfortunately, I don't think, well am unsure, if I am allowed to share the info.

4141-4146 were originally ordered for the Mt Isa line...they worked between Mt Isa and Townsville mostly on the fertiliser and concentrate trains. They were replaced by older 4000s when they went really west.
