Thought it'd be around about time to start a thread for the upcoming Sunshine Model Railway Club's Model Railway Show for this year.

Show is at: Braybrook College Hall, Cnr Ballarat Rd & Burke St, Braybrook
August 3 & 4, 2013 - Sunshine Model Railway Club
Saturday: 9.30am to 5pm
Sunday: 9.30am to 4pm
Adults: $7, Children: $Free

http://sunshinemrc.org.au/site/calendar.shtml#August2013

The Melton Model Railway Club will be taking our Portable Layout to the show, and I'll have my own Melton Free-mo AU modules (x4) at the show this year, also.

At this stage, I know Road and Rail Hobbies Geelong and Rail'N'thusiast will be there, however, I'm unsure of any other traders attending.

Come along and say hi!

You can also find an "event" linked on the MMRC's Facebook page.

Great show last time and I am looking forward to coming down to visit again this weekend.
The highlight for me last time was the Melbourne tram layout built by a very competent modeller. A wonderful layout!!!

Great, we'll see you there, then. Very Happy

It's a great layout, attention to detail is right up there! I'm sure glennofootscray will be happy to hear that! I would think his layout would be there again this weekend.

Sorry, not this weekend. Instead of exhibiting, I will be attending as a paying punter.

This is what has been there for the last couple of years.

Thanks for the feedback.

Glenn, Thanks for displaying your layout in recent times, but enjoy the show now as a 'paying customer'
Thanks also for the numbers for my "W" Class tram I was given from you at last years show. I am going to give the  1:1 scale tram another lick of paint then I will apply the numbers.

Setup went quickly and smoothly tonight, a bit cold, windy and wet, but we made it!

The MMRC and Free-mo AU displays are side by side in the 'main' hall, directly opposite one of the 2 entries.

Went along today and really enjoyed it. It was a great day and it was pleasing to see a number of young families present.
Having spoken to a number of the tradersvendors, they all expressed a lack of buyers both at this venue and at their normal retail outlets which reflects the economy as a whole, except for a spike in the "N" sets excitement from Auscision.

Not withstanding, a very well run exhibition and terrific modelling spirit throughout. Must admit it inspired me and I am now attacking B60 with weathering powders! Fingers crossed!!!
Well done to all!

I also went on Saturday, great show with many good layouts. As for the trade stalls, while I did spend about $150 myself, I spent it at four different shops as there where many present which was good for shopper verity I may have meant traders where pushing harder for there share. Just what I think anyway.

I ventured down for a look before lunch today, it was nice to see a couple of different layouts and catch up with a few familiar faces.

It was nice to have a good rummage (for a change) through some of the trader stalls for some rather obscure items, needless to say the traders and locals of 'Victoria Street" will not be happy to find out that the scourge of inner suburbia, the parking meter, are soon to be installed along their stretch of retail space.

All in all, a good show and well done to the crew from Sunshine.
