Town hall station platform connections

Just wondering, can someone tell me whether you it is possible to get from platform 2 to platform 5 at Town Hall station,
without having to return to the top concourse,
that is directly down by one flight of stairs ?
This would be when travelling from North shore line (Chatswood) to Eastern suburbs line (Kings Cross)

Thanks
Jeff

From memory there is a flight of stairs at one end of the platform to get to the lower platforms.

OK thanks.
I think I did sort of get the impression from looking at a map,
that platform 1&2 (island platform on upper level ) was above platform 4 (single platform on lower level)
All these trains run south.

And on the other side
platform 3 (single platform on upper level) was above  platform 5&6 (island platform on lower level).
All the trains on this side run north.

So to get from one side to the other, you were forced to go up to top concourse.

OK, so does that mean you think it is possible to walk down a staircase from platform 2, to platform 5&6 directly ?
  bernerd Junior Train Controller

No to the original question. You cannot walk directly from P2 to P5/6, you have to go via the paid concourse.

It is possilble to go from P2 to P5 without going via the concourse at Town Hall. You would need to travel to Central, arriving at P19, and then transfer to a train at either P16/17/24 which would get you to Town Hall, you could then get to Town Hall P5, without having to access the concourse at Town Hall (and if accessing P24 at Central, you will already be on P5 at Town Hall when the train arrives!)

I am killing myself laughing.

Seriously though, the connections at Town Hall are 1/2 to 4, and 3 to 5/6.

What a stupid convoluted thread when a simple yes or no would have sufficed.

When I last looked I wasn't Jesus and I am far from a sook and I really do not think your comment is called for. You are a bit sensitive to my mind. Bit of a mummies boy hey.
