Two questions

1. Are there adequate overnight stabling facilities at Sale or will evening arrivals return to Traralgon and head back to Sale in the morning?

2. Will the Sunday Vlocity to Sale also resume this week? Prior to the March closure VLocities were banned from the Traralgon - Sale section.

The train used to stable in the Sale yard between 1993 and 2004 when the Bairnsdale train didn't run. I think they used to stable the train in the yard as there were still freight trains running then. With no other trains running these days, the train could just be marshalled ready for the next day and stabled overnight in the platform (as happens at Bairnsdale, although there is security lighting provided there). I have wondered why the current track circuit testing train is stabled on a lonely and dark point at the far eastern end of Traralgon Yard rather than in the security of the well lit station precinct. It must be tempting to the local graffiti idiots.

Can't answer that one. What's the problem running V/Locities to Sale? They ran quite happily there for some years.

The condition of the track from Traralgon to Sale stopped the VLocities travelling there earlier this year.

Sprinters and loco-hauled services had stabled overnight at Sale prior to services being reinstated to Bairnsdale in 2004. So I don't see why it would be an issue now. I've not been into Sale yet, but I'd assume that a train was there last night for this mornings up service.

Yeah, I saw the report on WIN news earlier.

It was followed by news on the "outcome" of the Kerang incident 6 years ago. If what I heard was right, then the equivalent would be a driver going through a red light at a pedestrian crossing, ki
