    Have a look at the front just above the coupler, the white rail that looks like a fat "U".

    In the first picture, it seems as it should be

    Does that look slightly different? ie: It goes down on one side. Wonder if it's same loco.

    What you get in the picture isn't even a bulldog however, in place of a Lima S class or ANL liveried GM is an el-cheapo Life-Like GP38-2 complete with horn hooks and plastic drive wheels in a Lima box. Surely it isn't a typo and the starting price is actually $10?

    Could be a case of fed the wrong information from someone, and the loco was stuffed into that box?

    Although, considering you can buy a whole train "set" (track, transformer, 4 carriages, loco and some signs) for that amount from the local Toyworld with that loco in it for about the same price BNIB (yes, I went there... Laughing ), you'd think they meant $10!

    That loco new is only worth at the most about $50 -$60 not a penny more brand new. So he would never get $100 for that not even in his dreams. Someone tell him he is dreaming.

    GM's in AN days where referred to as F or S types the earlier GM 1 series where classed as F class as they only had Four( F) traction motors. The later GM 12 types were referred to as S class as they had Six (S) traction motors. It was just used as an internal reference in most cases so that trains got appropriate power and did not come to a halt because someone thought they were all the same.

    ANL was a shipping line as in Ships that were on the water, as well so whoever really has his wires crossed here.

    More likely is someone understands the principles of supply & demand, applied the logic of risk versus reward, and purchased multiple AN3's in the expectation of making a profit on items that would quickly sell out.

    I agree - that U'Boat is in appalling condition. Firstly a friedmont body but the power car is in pieces!!!

    Polyester resin, that 'perfect' straight break is typical. Nothing to be alarmed about.

    For those wanting a Auscision AN3 in Red Ghan ( sold out) they are still to be found if you do not want to deal with Ebay.  Train World last Wednesdy had a AN3 ghan for the RRP of $290. If you want one try there, or any shop selling Auscision...... Smile

    So three brands and which one do you believe! I will take the person that said it is a Lloyd's kit personally as he seems to know a lot more than the actual seller. Bit of a fraud really to find it describe as Bergs Brass and then Austrains and it is neither.
