I see in some of your earlier trackwork photos old rail line pushed to the side of the track formation near Bullarto, is this old 60lb rail where it has been replaced by 75lb rail? Is it being used as ballast retainer or is it going to be recycled. I am also curious as to who and when this section of line was upgraded to 75lb, was it done by the VR/VLine or was it a DSCR initiative? The track in the photo was replaced by DSCR as part of the current project. Some of the 60D rail which has been replaced will be used in relaying No2 road at Bullarto, some in the future planned extension of the rolling stock shed and into stock as spare for the sections of track that will remain D. Some has also been cascaded to Puffing Billy for use in the museum as it remains a VicTrack asset.
