Thanks Poath.

An interesting read & with clearer photos, it can be seen that much of the Jumbo is still there.  I would not think it would be too hard a job for Auscision to do a model of a jumbo, what would be interesting though for the sound enthusiasts will they be able to capture the squeaks, bangs of them for a decoder.

As many called them, squeak, rattle & bounce.

As a modern era SA modeler I hope they do GL108. It has been powering the Balco from Adelaide to Bowmans solo for most of the past 5 years, only replaced when it is receiving maintenance.

While the cutaway drawings are correct in the Motive Power article, the side elevation drawing show an earlier proposal where the cab doors were in the body behind the cabs rather than in the sides of the cab as the locomotives were built.

None of the body remains from the 442. Only the central underframe beams were retained and I have photos to prove that...

Anyone notice that on Auscisions header pic is a train of coal hoppers being hauled by TT class . I cannot remember that they have announced the TT.

Close, more like the H vans those huts are made from. And perhaps the HR's in the background too.

Hmm, you're clutching at straws. The way I read it, that photo simply depicts spare parts, in particular the bogies.

Back on 8th July 2011 the spare parts page was updated and looked like: https://web.archive.org/web/20111108170437/http://www.auscisionmodels.com.au/Spare%20Parts%20Page.htm - yes there was the bogies drawing your attention but the background hinted at much more.

If you go back through the thread you'll see my prediction in July 2011 that the page held some hidden information. Come January 2012 the WBAX was announced. You'll find many other examples in this thread of my predictions about things in Auscision promotional photos (not just online ones) coming true - From the goods sheds and silo's through to TT's. There's still three more of my photo inspired predictions still outstanding, time will tell if I'm right and we see the Z guards vans and MRC's. What's the 3rd prediction? Lets cross that bridge when we get to it!

I have a question regarding the 'Batwing' hoppers - does the 8 car set op as a whole bar coupled unit only or is it divisible into 2/4 car units with auto couplers either end of each sub-group?

While not my scene they look great. I am considering buying a pack to separate and keep a minimum quantity

Thank you

The batwing hoppers come with couplers on each end of the wagon and solid bars are inculded in the pack
