Anyone interested in going half (GOX and VFX wagons)?

  Shazam75 Chief Commissioner

Hi All

Anyone interested in going halves with the Auscision GOX open wagons and/or VFX Vans?  The ones I am interested in getting for my layout are
SLV-1 http://www.auscisionmodels.com.au/ABFX%20Louvered%20Van.htm
and
SOW-1 http://www.auscisionmodels.com.au/AOOX%20Open%20Wagon.htm

Since auscision are having a 20% discount the wagons come to approx. $50 each + postage.

PM if your interested as soon as possible.

Thanks
Shelton

Tempting, did the AOOX wagons ever reach Melbourne via the BG (Bacchus Marsh/Melton etc)?

I don't recall the ABFX's, saying that, it was nearly 2 decades ago! Smile

Yes, AOOXs and ABFXs were common as dirt on the BG from the time of their introduction (late 1960s?). The last rake of NR ABFXs were, in fact, returned to AN via Pinnaroo after the SG to Adelaide opened.

Yes that is true but their were some restrictions on them, long cars like this could not work into Victor Harbor for instance and there were probably other places that they could not go either, this was due to their length in most instances. So if you model the VH branch then you should not get any of them at all. If anything came in one of these wagons for Victor Harbor or other places that they could not go the load had to be transferred into a smaller or smaller wagons to get there.

Yes fair enough even of AOOXs were never in short supply ABFXs were and if anyone used an ABFX for 'rubbish' traffics anywhere questions would be asked and the error of whoever's ways pointed out!!
