Having spent some time in Perth recently and travelled on the Fremantle line but not to the City can someone tell me do trains from Fremantle on arriving in the City go elsewhere or return back to Fremantle. Do other lines cross feed.
Also was very impressed with line running down the centre of the freeways, great idea.

The Fremantle line continues on to Midland. Joondalup line and Mandurah line cross feed. The Armadale/Thornlie don't cross feed.

It's great for efficiency/speed, not so good for accessibility.

When it comes to public mass transit I think that efficiency/speed is the more preferable of the two. There are several "feeder" bus routes to the train stations anyway so someone who knows what they are doing, likes to go for a walk and is not afraid of a longer commute does not have to worry about parking anyway

Armadale & Thornlie line services do alternate with each other at Perth station as if to provide a through service, a train from Thornlie will arrive on platform 5 and depart on a C pattern to Armadale, a train from Armadale will arrive on platform 4 and depart on a Thornlie T if that makes sense.

It always been like that with the EX.Thornlie service to Platform 5 (Forms Armadale Service) and Ex.Armadale service to Platform 4 (Forms Thornlie T Service) prior to the perth city link closure, and just after Old Platform 5/8 got torn down.
