If a manufacturer makes a model available for photography, the photo appear in AMRM. If they do not make the model available, it is a bit hard to run a photo in the mag...
We have been looking at ways of getting AMRM available in electronic form for some time, but for a magazine such as ours, it is not a simple procedure... so far the options we have explored are either too expensive or not of high enough quality. We are still looking...

While AMRM are making the mag available on DVD, which I think is a good thing, saves a lot of space in storage areas compared to a magazine, what I would like to see is the mag go on to DVD at years end or at the end of each volume set, as I understand the mag is now basically composed with computer & possibly stored that way, would be something that could in a sense be done on the fly, & made available for a cost basis to subscribers, which is something not unusual in magazines as a subscriber benefit.
When we moved house I saved a few editions from my set that I had subscribed to for many years also those I purchased from Newsagents, primarily to save cartage costs & storage problems, as such having those on DVD would have been good.
I have noticed here on the central coast that few newsagents now stock AMRM on open shelves, reason is various but one of them in a major centre downsized his shop owing to the horrendous rent increase, he worked on his quarterly returns & found the AMRM was not selling one copy, so decided it was one to go in the new compact agency, & was not prepared to get it in as an order.
The same happened at a couple of other agents as well.
