    You have the right state and the lie of the land is similar to Mittagong but this station is closer to sea level.

    This is the only bit of infrastructure I could find on the line (other than the remains of where a small culvert once was).

    Crisfitz, another thread suggests you intended to tour in southwest Victoria over the Xmas/NY period.  This shot looks a lot like the Mortlake line where it crossed the Terang-Framlingham road.  There's a similar shot on Marcus Wong's excellent Rail Geelong site.

    Yes....it is that exact location. I had a feeling I'd given it up with my posts in the Warrnambol freight thread Smile

    I explored as much of the line as I could, and found that the remaining infrastructure shown on Marcus's page has unfortunately gone.

    I must admit when I looked at your pic cris, I doubletook. What goes on here, cris is from WA, and them tracks are oh so broad Confused

    I do hope you had fun archaeologing there mate Smile

    I misinterpreted cris' "Next please!" - thinking it was open floor, forging ahead & posting a pic & all - which I've now deleted of course - when it's actually deadlaker's turn.

    I had a great time doing the Timboon line whilst I was there too. A great rail trail - a credit to those who've worked on it.

    I'd put up some WA ones, but I figure very few people would get them, as I don't think many WA guys look on here.

    Crisfitz, re Mortlake line, I'm a bit surprised you didn't spot the much-weathered platform mounds of the short-lived Koonendah/Keilambete station, but (if not perhaps bulldozed) they can be hidden if that paddock has grass at maximum height.  It is really probably the flattest, most featureless branchline in Vic, but sad to hear that even the few remaining remnants are gradually disappearing.

    I'm hoping to post something within the next day, I'll advise if it doesn't pan out.

    I saw a couple of mounds, one near where I assume the racecourse station would have been, and possibly Koonendah, although the grass was pretty high, and I thought they may only be mounds of dirt, rather than the remains of platforms.

    Tumba was my first thought, but this one's too tall for there. This is somewhere I haven't been Sad
