It is now a construction site, so you can't - end of story. The trams and bus that were in there for many years have now been moved out.

Find a photo using Google of rhe tram depot when it was in service, take a photo of the tram depot as
it appears now in 2014. There's your history project done.

Thanks tezza and Sydney Gunzel

Guys, it is a construction site but the workers cars are parked inside. I went inside this morning and there is only one tram left. I went in, and it is a sad sight, graffiti everywhere. So you can actually get in. Here is the proof.

Thanks all who tried to help me.

Were the other trams inside scrapped, or taken elsewhere? No need to say where.

Get the tram out of there at least save whats left of it! Before the animals who have done this damage come back to finish!

I can give you some info from a recent newsletter from Sydney Tramway Museum.   R1753 has been acquired by Warringah Council and will be restored as part of a new project in the vicinity of the former Narrabeen tram terminus waiting shed.  R1 2050 has been disposed of to an energetic property investor for restoration and installation on his property, and he has taken steps to have the body transferred to Bendigo for commercial restoration.  A third possibility is being explored with another party.  To date the City Council had not commenced its Mens Shed project with R1 1993.  R1 1995 remains at Rozelle for eventual inclusion within the tram shed redevelopment.

The first two transfers mentioned have provided some financial benefits to the Museum, and the outcomes are a lot better for the trams than to have them all remaining in the former depot subject to deterioration by vandalism and neglect.

Thanks for that update Dave, that site is being turned into a "Foodies" market and had heard that R1 1995 was going to be restored as part of the redevelopment. But I hadn't heard the fate of the others other than, that the museum @ Loftus was not really interested as they have enough examples of R1's in their collection when considering the state of the the rest of the trams at this site.

I visited the site on Saturday, and I went in. There was only one tram left, R1 1995 and there was fencing all over it but I found a gap and went in. It is a sad sight, the controller panel is broken, the wires have been severed and so on. It is the only tram left inside, and the Mirvac workers' cars are parked inside. Here is the proof:

I'm not a Tram buff but R1 1995 is of special significance as I read somewhere that it was the tram to make the last run in the 60's when Sydney's tram network was closed down.
