Firefox 29 and youtube videos

Have just "upgraded" Firefox to 29, and now unable to play youtube videos posted in these forums.  They just "hang" and never start.  If I use Internet Explorer 11 (on Windows 7 64 bit), they work fine.  I still can't play them if I run FF in Safe Mode, so add-ons are unlikely to be the cause of the problem.

I know it's not a Railpage problem, but FF is my preferred browser.  Is anyone else having this problem?

I upgraded to Firefox 29 this morning too, but all works OK for me. I am using Windows 8.1.

I tested the Video links from BM3801 posted in the thread below on 28/04/2014 - all worked fine.

Further to the previous post, this Firefox Update (29) and the previous one a week or 2 ago have changed a few things, one PITA (for me) in 29 being the removal of the Orange Firefox Tab that was at the top left corner - you now have to have the Menus Bar showing as it is now under Tools.

I have a few ongoing issues with FF (cant Sync FF between my Laptop and Desktop), but like it because it runs much more smoothly than IE and Chrome, and the pesky ads that flood screens in them are easily prevented.

I would suggest to LP that the Upgrade has probably wiped a setting somewhere.

Problem solved, and thanks to all who gave advice. In case this happens to anyone else, the problem apparently was related to the latest release (13.0.0.206) of Flash Player (non-IE) which I had installed at the same time as FF29. I started by reverting to FF28, which I knew had worked in the past, but the problem persisted. I then uninstalled the Flash Player and the videos worked, now being opened by VLC Media Player. I don't know if there is a bug in that version of Flash Player, but anyway I am happy now.

BTW, you can get that orange tab back (and a lot of other stuff as well) by using an add-on called "Classic Theme Restorer".  It's for those who don't like the new "Australis" theme in FF29.  Get it here:  https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/
