I always enjoy Heritage Express trips and try to travel up from Melbourne every couple of years for one. But why is there no mention in the publicity of the locomotive(s) to be used, this is the 2nd most important piece of information (after destination, of course) enthusiasts need to decide whether to travel or not? I understand the publicity is aimed at the general public ("aboard a stylish heritage train"), but it should also include locomotive information. Steamrail (Vic) publicises the locomotives it will use on all trip brochures.

I assume the Locomotive to be used will be Steam Loco 3642, It will also have a couple of Diesels on the rear of the Train to assist it, when needed

3642 was undergoing some maintenance at the recent "Day out with Thomas" but could be back by the 24th, better to check with "Heritage Express" to avoid disappointment.
