I wont make it too hard, so, it is in Victoria, and the line was closed about 40 years ago. (Though maybe T347 doesn't need hints with his wealth of knowledge!!)

Mirboo North line was closed in 1974 so Yinnar is a reasonable guess. However I drive past a fair bit of the reservation a few times a week and don't recall this particular scene. Of course that's not to say it's not Yinnar!
If by 40 years you mean ballpark as in the 1970s I'll take a stab at somewhere else and say Wonthaggi line (closed 1978 ) near Nyora.

I did suggest (correctly it seems) that T347 needed no hint, for it is indeed the cutting about 1km short of the terminus at Casterton.
