  • Trains run between Wollongong and Bondi Junction and between Port Kembla and Thirroul, most to the normal timetable.

  • On Saturday morning, buses replace the 00:23 Central to Kiama train between Wollongong and Kiama.

T6 - Carlingford Line:

The T6 Carlingford Line is closed in both directions between Carlingford and Clyde due to urgent level crossing repairs at Clyde. Replacement buses have been organised but are yet to arrive. Passengers should listen to station announcements, check indicator boards and allow plenty of additional travel time. Alternatively, train tickets can be used on local buses in the affected area.

Around 6am there was a fatality at Penshurst, which caused the inevitable disruptions. The area was cleared around 8.30am, but apparently there were a few follow-on delays, as could be expected.

Also for the duration of the weekend the ESR is shut for trackwork. South Coast trains are terminating/commencing from Sydney Terminal; at Central, Down Illawarra/T4 trains are departing from platforms #18 & #19, with up trains terminating at North Sydney.

The update didn't specify whether the repairs required possession of the section to fix it or whether it was an issue that could be resolved from within the substation at Glenbrook. I figured adding the diesel info in there value-added to the link from Sydney Trains for the benefit of other railpagers. That kind of info posted by others helps me when I'm out gunzelling Smile

The T2 Airport & South Line and the T5 Cumberland Line are partially closed between Glenfield and Ingleburn, in that direction only due to a person injured by a train at Ingleburn. Trains continue to operate to the city but at a limited capacity and passengers should allow plenty of additional travel time. Buses will replace services between Glenfield and Ingleburn but are yet to arrive. A train service is operating back and forth between Macarthur and Ingleburn. Passengers travelling from the city towards Campbelltown and past Glenfield are advised to delay their journey or make alternative arrangements.
