So now we have proved without doubt that if a manufacturer does indeed update their website with the facts,
the people on RP still can't get the message and have to wax-lyrically about what the manufacturer actually meant.
Manufacturer says "The Cat Sat On The Mat"
Poster 1 says "But which mat are they talking about"
Poster 2 says "Maybe there's an unannounced mat that's been... unannounced"
Poster 3 says "Maybe someone should ring the manufacturer to inquire about the mat"
Poster 4 says "Maybe someone should ring the manufacturer to inquire about the cat"
Poster 5 says "I used to work for the factory that made the mats, and they definitely weren't approved for the use of cats"
Poster 6 says "I rang the mat manufacturer..."
Poster 7 says "What did they say?"
Poster 6 is never heard of again
Manufacturer 2 says "Don't sit on their mat, till you've sat on our mat"
Poster 8 says "Are the mats still available on the pre-sat-on price"
Poster 9 says "I thought the mats had already sold out"
Poster 10 says "No the website wasn't clear on that, maybe the cats sold out"
Poster 11 says "I support Poster 4, someone should ring about the cat"
Poster 12 says "I've been offline for a few days, has a cat ever sat on a mat"
In the following weeks, the cat appears on eBay and sells for 3 times it's original price
and the mat is listed as "rare limited edition mat, on sat on for photos" with a buy-it-now
price of $349 with free delivery even though it is still available from the manufacturer.
I give up
