Cantilevered BLV/GLV - 1950s

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody would be able to help with photos or drawings of the BLV/GLV (I guess it would have been a GLV during the 50s) as modified by placement on the cantilevered steel underframe?

I have a couple of the AndIan BLV kits and would like to build them so they fit within my 1955 period.

I have used the online AMRM search function however nothing popped up using obvious search criteria.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Linton

Is that the TGR BLV coach from the 1890s?

Hi Mark,

I should have been more specific. I am asking about the NSWGR cantilevered underframe BLV louvre van.

Linton, one of the recent 'Early Days' CDs had info on them, in conjunction with Ian Dunn's talk that year (whatever year it was!) If I find my copy, I'll be able to tell you which year it was...

Just found Ian's article. Its on the 2012 CD, I was there and couldn't even remember? That's bad! Now to try and figure this whole thing out.

It seems there was an early version (1911) of the cantilevered underframe BLV also.

Will have a read. Get ready for questions ha.

Thanks again,

Linton

From my database the only references I have to the NSW BLV are two AMRM entries: Issue 293 page 30 (a photo) and Issue 297 page 44 (a note).
Sorry, but no other references.
Cheers
Ian
