Searching for other information, I came across this from Apex
http://www.locomotivesforafrica.com/trains-for-africa.html
According to this, the stored AD, DAZ and NJ loco's are to be shipped to Africa in December.
Has this happened quietly, still to happen in the next few days, or been put off for a while?
Cheers
HelloI saw some CHCH wagons stored in Port Pirie on 10 January.
I have just learned that the salt service went to road at the beginning of the year and I'm wondering where the wagons and containers are stored, please. Also, are the CFCLA ore wagons still at Avon yard?
Thanks
It appears the hiring of the 2 P class units (11 & 17) to CBH/Watco has come to an end. P2511 has been operating out of Picton on various Alcoa caustic and alumina services this week and P2517 has been active on the Worsley lime train. That is correct. CBH have continued to use a fleet of Aurizon grain wagons though.
A loco swap has occurred at Albany over the past weekend for the woodchip trains there. DBZ2309, 2310 and 2311 have returned to Forrestfield, replaced by P2502 and 2517 and PA2819.
More XW wagons are heading down to Perth by road for scrapping this last week, having passed about eight of them in the last three days on the way to work. Does anyone know how many of the older narrow gauge wagons Watco will keep using at this stage? I did notice that one rake of the older wagons headed north yesterday from Northam to Goomalling behind CBH class units, but am not sure how much longer this will last.CBH still have 60 Aurizon wagons on hire, 58 XU and 2 XT. I don't know how long this arrangement will continue.
I saw DBZ2310 heading light engine toward Kwinana today. Is it coming out of storage to work somewhere?Three DBZ currently in service Justin, the two that you have seen and DBZ2309 at Albany.
DBZ2311 was working out of Picton on caustic trains last week.
The DBs will be missed when they go.
Q4007 now in Aurizon LiveryQ4003 is waiting on a new heart. It will go back into traffic in it's current scheme.

Q4011 is the next GO loco, sitting at the back of the fitters waiting to go in. Should be out in traffic by October
Operating around Picton at the moment:Justin, there are 20 ACN in WA at the moment. Fourteen are based at Narngulu and six are at Picton.
P2512
P2507
P2503
Various ACNs
Parked in the yard:
P2510
DBZ2309
DBZ2310 (I think)
How many ACNs are in WA at the moment and what numbers are they?
P2512 is different in that it has '2512' in both number boards. I think it looks better this way.
