Several years ago we had friends in Goulburn who owned land between the Prison and the Racecourse and you could see where the old line ran along side the road and through their property.
I wondered was this the 'Main' line from Goulburn and then split again to go to either Taralga or Crookwell further along or that was the branch to Taralga ?

Regretably the land has sad memories as the wife of our friend under severe stress drove to the block and committed suicide in the car using the exhaust fumes leaving behind her husband and sub teen aged daughter.

That line is the branch line to Crookwell. The Taralga line branched off from Roslyn some 30 Km down the line from the racecourse.
