So on page 3 of the Messenger this week, the same group of idiots that complain all the time about the train line want to get Coromandel station renamed to Wittunga.More like a drive for attendance by stealth.

I think it's more likely that Blackwood will be renamed to "This train will terminate here".Add that to the litany of announcements about platform gaps large enough to swallow whales and connecting local buses (which don't wait to make their connections) and the 750 metre trip from Coromandel to Blackwood would be an endless barrage of announcements.

It would certainly help out ARTC. They would be able to ease that tight curve between Glenalta and Pinera, and the Belair loop could be lengthened to allow 1,800+ metre trains.
