More like a drive for attendance by stealth.

The figures would show a large increase of people going to "Wittunga"!! Easy way to frig attendance figures at the gardens.

Well I think "Kilkenny" could be renamed as well "Kilkenny Park" sounds a lot better to me!

Add that to the litany of announcements about platform gaps large enough to swallow whales and connecting local buses (which don't wait to make their connections) and the 750 metre trip from Coromandel to Blackwood would be an endless barrage of announcements.

It would certainly help out ARTC. They would be able to ease that tight curve between Glenalta and Pinera, and the Belair loop could be lengthened to allow 1,800+ metre trains.

Either ease the curves or just double track it all the way between Fosters and Blackwood.

I'm not convinced that there would be any greater benefit in such a double track section when the line's capacity is limited by what lies further east of there.
