Pedantry won't let you squirm your way out of that one sweetcheeks.Hmm, you seem to have a fixation on them??
Anyhow, it amply demonstrates that as a 'journo' you have the same inability to quote accurately.
NoIt was reflection on democracy IN GENERAL!!!!!
Democracy is very much 'in your face' because people you don't like have the same rights regardless of religion, race, economic standing, social ranking or political values. Germany and Italy are two examples where people gave away democracy to protect themselves from threats, real or imagined. Maybe that was an historic aberration? And I will agree with that last statement, especially as details of the FTA with China are coming to light, as well as all the secrecy around the TPP.
This has nothing to do with Q&A or one particularly small-minded tightRsed ratbag appearing of TV. It's about shutting down anyone's opinions that are in-Abbott's-face.
The cynical use of fear, bigotry and nationalism for political advantage is tried and proven and this lot are taking it to new lows.
...I guess part of my problem is the fact I look at issues from multiple angles before deciding my own position. Hence I can see the virtue of dictatorships, however democracy has benefits in theory of being representative of citizens desires. It has however become a corrupt institution where only those who will suck up to those with money stand a chance of lying to the public. Not to mention the manipulation these days to prevent any dissenting voice.

Still playing the man and not the ball.Oh dear, such hypocrisy, that is exactly how this little feud got going, by you doing exactly that.
I found this definition on-line of sweetcheeks: 'usually a name given by gang-banging jail inmates to tiny inmates made into their bitches'The reference to "Sweetcheeks" comes from the latest Road Safety TV ads from the Motor Accident Commission of South Australia, Titled "Keep the Bromance Alive"
What does that say about the person using the phrase?
Or are you just being playful?
Q&A tonight will not have Barnaby Joyce he has been told by Adolf Abbott not to attend the programmeBut let us have a look at what Barnaby Joyce did in his most notable media exposure of recent times:
...
But then Q&A becomes more of a Leftist echo chamber than ever before.
All things considered I reckon the Murdoch press has swung more to the right, the Fairfax press has swung more to the left to the point of being a bunch of angry Marxists spouting tabloid headlines, and the ABC have generally continued to steadily occupy a more moderate Centre-Left position within the mass-media political spectrum.

Ha! These Capitalist Roaders need a Struggle Session!Coming right up...
Well, the old saying goes ..."never hold an inquiry unless you know what the outcome will be"
"The man chosen to conduct an independent audit of Q&A, television veteran Ray Martin, says he cannot believe Prime Minister Tony Abbott has ordered his frontbenchers not to appear on the ABC program until his inquiry is complete.
As well as decrying the government's Q&A boycott as "silly", Martin said he believes Q&A host Tony Jones was as tough on the previous Labor government as the Coalition.
Martin said some of the "rants and raves" about the program had been "crazy" and that he hoped his audit would bring some balance to the debate.
"A Bex and a good lie down might help at the moment," he said."

Oh dear. Abbott's got another dissident to deal with.
"The man chosen to conduct an independent audit of Q&A, television veteran Ray Martin, says he cannot believe Prime Minister Tony Abbott has ordered his frontbenchers not to appear on the ABC program until his inquiry is complete.

"A Bex and a good lie down might help at the moment," he said."
And the inevitable has happened. Coalition Senators James McGrath and Ian Macdonald have Ray Martin under fire. McGrath:" I think he should step aside. His comments make him appear an apologist for Q & A rather than someone who will conduct an independent review."Or maybe you don't say that the ABC is not bias before you conduct the investigation to see if it is bias.
Translation: 'he doesn't agree with what we do therefore he must be biased, because it's impossible for us to be wrong. We are born to rule and are infallible.'
Senators, it's just a teeny bit possible that people of goodwill think the government's actions are stupid. It could be an advantage for you to consider this ghastly possibility.
