Light snow fell on mount lofty overnight.As mentioned in another thread Mount Lofty Railway Station is located 3.7kms and some 200m lower than the summit of Mount Lofty which occasionally sees light snow (that often melts as it hits the ground)

3MX2 (we believe) has failed at Callington on the eastern side the Adelaide Hills. 8256 has been despatched from Islington as D251S and is currently on its way to Stirling working through Belair Park. Expect it through the cameras in the next 20 mins.

8254 also went up the hill this morning on 7PM5 so thinking this has gone onto Melbourne as this loco is not at Tailem Bend.

A GWA grain is scheduled up the hill from Mile End leaving the yard at 10.30am CST. The grain will head to Tailem Bend and leave there at 17:00 CST arriving Viterra grain siding (Adelaide) at 21:32 CST. @Michelle12

It is a shame we did not get the cameras in earlier to capture some of the old locos. I have been going through my stock of 5 years of Bunbury Street and there is plenty of old action there.
I guess we can't hope to achieve everything we want to do in the timeframe we want to.

Yep I agree, the Wirrida-Whyalla ore train finishing up was one of the worst things to happen to rail in this state along with the south line branches (Pinnaroo & Loxton) closing & the Leigh Creek coalie finishing as well. Talk about dark times for rail...
