I'll pay that on the last bit. It is in fact Gillenbah (not sure if this is the "railway name" however). That didn't last long!

Nothing to post and Gillenbah is just the name of the geographic location

NSWRail lists Gillenbah as a "location" opened on 16 September 1884 to which a platform was added on 1 January 1890 and which was closed on 5 September 1895.

It also states the exact location as unknown although it lists the distance from Sydney as 589kms.  Whatever it was it had a short and unspectacular existence

A recent "Ghost Gunzelling" expedition came up with this:-

Here is the link. (Photobucket seems to double them up):

The presence of what looks like a trike near the tree in the middle distance suggests someone is doing some work and the countryside looks more or less right.

Ladysmith?

I agree with Ladysmith.

I can see the resemblance to Ladysmith. But that's not it. That is the Station on the right of the 'photo.

There's a crane hidden by that tree.

It is NSW but is a long way from Ladysmith. There is an eerie sense of decay about this place. (Thanks for the help, mikesyd)

Warialda Rail, actually to be boringly precise. It seems to be a challenge to make three days. Smile

There must be at least a hundred Cars going back to 1937 Plymouth's (That's a guess)  lying around here as well.

The Pub which was a substantial edifice in it's time is in a poor state of repair but seems to be occupied. No longer pouring beer.

Take it away, johnboy.

Thanks Jibbonpoint, it has been a few years since I have explored that line.
Where are we now?

Not sure if the link works as my internet is going very slowww in the bush today.

Don't know that location, would you mean Hazelgrove (Oberon)?
Then ...not there anyway.
  Spletsie Chief Commissioner

Gwabegar?
  Rodo Chief Commissioner

Location: Southern Riverina
Near Tumbarumba ?
  johnboy Chief Commissioner

Location: Up the road from Gulgong
Not Hazelgrove, Gwabegar or Tumbarumba

Clue: Out of those three, Hazelgrove would be the closest as the crow flies, but it is not on the Oberon line
  Rodo Chief Commissioner

Location: Southern Riverina
Around Woodhouselee on the Crookwell branch, perhaps.
  johnboy Chief Commissioner

Location: Up the road from Gulgong
Not Hazelgrove, Gwabegar, Tumbarumba or Woodhouselee.
Clue: No one has the correct line yet, and Hazelgrove is still by far the closest as the crow flies.

5915 has it. It the original main western line at "Old Bells Line of Road" crossing next to Clarence Saw Mill.  My next clue was to look at the gauge, which would have been the clue to give it away....

Over to 5915
