I wonder if this is the system that was installed just over 12 months with the last tower (West) at Bowenfels Platform on the Main Western line.
The one previous is on the Down side of the line at the end of the western end of the 'New Station' making the two barely a kilometre apart but surprising, the radio reception both on the long defunct Shunters Radio and the 450.050 Train radio frequency could be rather erratic between Coal Stage, Yard Box and Tanksley Hill (mile post 100) even though it was in a clear line of sight.
