After receiving the watch email i saw this list and thought it looked fantastic.
Matt

Upgrades are appreciated by all but what will this provide users or is it maintenance related ?
Have to say very impressed at the Albion Cams. But will Bunbury St ever go back to being a live watch cam again?Upgrades are appreciated by all but what will this provide users or is it maintenance related ?
A bit of both. A new radio to NodeKKX was commissioned on the weekend. Camera 3 was added to to the network at Albion but is not yet available via Railpage. New cabling was run and terminated at Albion.
We have again meshed in the EMRG site with connections to Albion and also Mount Dandenong.
A third radio has been added to EMRG which is pointing to Bunbury Street. There are plans to re-point the network at Bunbury Street to Glenroy and commence connections to the Bunbury Street Railcams from the Melbourne Wireless Network.
So in summary:
1. New camera at Albion
2. New Cabling at Albion
3. Radio Commissioning at Albion for connection to Essendon Model Railway Group (EMRG)
4. New Radios at EMRG connecting to Albion and Mount Dandenong (completed)
5. New radio at EMRG pointing to Bunbury Street (completed)
Remaining:
6. re-pointing and re-comissioning of radio link to Bunbury Street.
Regards
Brian
Yes, Bunbury St will be going 'live' soon. Brian and myself will be visiting the site today to point the radio toward the one at Glenroy in order to receive a radio signal and also to reconfigure the routers. Once this happens, it should be 'all systems go'.Any timeframe on this happening Michelle?
Albion camera 1 is 1 hour fast.
There are routing/connectivity issues between the switches at Albion and the transmission path from where the signals are received(Melbourne wireless). We are currently working to rectify and restore services for both Albion cameras.
We seem to have lost all power and connectivity to the Albion site presumably with the wind issues. We are currently investigating and hoping our radio mast has not been damaged in the wind.
