Meranburn was a bit of a stab as it is the only round water tank with a brick base left in NSW as far as I am aware and they were never real common to start with.
Looking a bit more critically the one at Meranburn has what I would call engaged piers in the outside of the brickwork while the one in the photo does not.
Given the plain brickwork which would be a little unusual in NSW and the stone coping I am guessing at Victoria. I know there is /was one at Wangaratta but the background is all wrong so while I think it is in Victoria I know not where.
