Please state what you need help with. Also I advise against posting your email address as posts are public and as such you increase the risk of getting spammed. That said, if I were you I would edit your post now to remove the email.

I will second, what RailBlogger has stated about posting your email address

However, MSTS Australia has died off over the past few year's! No one has time for it anymore! I have stopped 3d modelling and trying to complete all my route projects and everyone seems to have moved onto Trainz or Open Rails:roll:Crying or Very sad

You can obtain resources yourself and obtain Gmax or use Train Sim Modeler "It's freeware now, but I can't remember the website to go to" I know gmax can be found on the Turbosquid website https://www.turbosquid.com/gmax

Best of luck!!

You can download Train Sim Modeller from the following site:

http://www.rundiomusic.com/SimDownloads

There is also an MSTS exporter for Blender available if you are using that program.

Isn't the Vline Vlocity's the same as the QR SMU296/IMU160?
If so, Russell Beer made a QR SMU for MSTS I am sure it can be reskinned as a Vline Vlocity!

Saves a lot of time 3d modelling it SmileSmile

Not quite. The Vlocity has a different front and door positions.

In fact I seem to recall @Melbournesparks made an MSTS Vlocity but didn't release it...

Thanks RailBlogger, I wasn't sure!
Yes, Melbournesparks did model the vlocity but never released them

The body looks similar to the TransPerth B-series.

I can kick start this project by providing you with the gmax or a 3ds source file if you are interested. Just import it into your 3D modelling program and modify as desired.

Cheers,

Marek.

+1 MSTS is just a pain in the a$s these days.

Trainz A New Era is the best option but the 3D modeling programs have a steep learning curve.

MSTS has always been a pain. Open Rails on the other hand allows you to use MSTS content with a much improved physics simulation and best of all it's free.

There is also a MSTS/OR exporter for the free open source Blender 3D modelling program. There are many absolute beginner tutorials on You Tube on how to use Blender for those who want to learn. A lot of learning curves look steeper from the bottom than they do once you start ascending the climb.

I see that Jordanever44444 created an account and only made this one post and has not logged back on since. I wonder how the planning is going.

hi guys I'm back yes I have modelled it complelty but I'm 1. not realeisng any photos except for on my private Instagram 2. I had unpresidented accesses to the sounds as I went out to to vline and asked to ride in the cab for the sounds 3. I'm not letting the model out and I will keep it private I have 6 beta testers and have had so much positive feedback and now my next project which I'm halfway through is to make the Sothern Cross to Bendigo line aswell as adding both eaglehawk and the not so new but still new Epsom station  and the volcity will be realesed with media on that route

Are both projects going to be released for download somewhere?

possibly I don't think will release for the public but for private usage and downloads also update on the projects now they've been updated to openrails and msts

What do you mean by 'private downloads'?
