Overnight CSR005 by itself failed again at Hawkmount (after leaving CSR003 behind at Leightonfield) and managed to crawl into the loop at the Eraring Power Station.
CSR003 and CSR005 tried to make the 3MB9 trip yesterday. First they failed at Cullerin and were pushed by 1PS6.Are you sure about Eraring?

It is definitely in the power station loop. This sounds like "standing up in a hammock" stuff.
Word on location is that it's departing as we speak.
Just through Teralba heading northNot sure whose eyesight's playing up here but 3MB9 went North out of Sydney late yesterday evening with only CSR005 on the front. Ailing CSR003 had been cut off at Leightonfield and spent the night all alone on the back loop there. It was collected by SCT015 & CSR004 at about 2 o'clock this afternoon to return South dead attached on 4BM9.
In one way they are lucky the solo loco is double cab CSR5 as there are no turning facilities at Bromelton. Remember the SCT Logistics Bromelton Intermodal facility is 49 km south of the nearest turntable at Acacia Ridge.Advice from a PN driver on another group that ARTC would not allow a single loco to proceed with a 2 loco load. That means that train shed wagons along the route to reduce tonnage.
A single loco with presumably the original double loco load through the border ranges with its long 1:66 grades both sides of the border will test the loco both directions.
Some people have no sense of humour. Surely, after years of trouble-free service on the Trans, it was worth a try. Isn't it down-hill from Hawkmount to Brisbane? In one way they are lucky the solo loco is double cab CSR5 as there are no turning facilities at Bromelton. 1BM9? through the Albion cams early today with what looks to be healthy loading. https://www.railpage.com.au/railcams/albion2/photo/36672513463There is a top snap by Ian Green over on VicSig of Sunday's 6BM9 featuring 4 x CSR and a VERY healthy looking train snaking off into the distance behind them
This train had SCT006 on point and a second SCT unit which could mean the CSR's have been taken off the route?
