I needed these recently and got the kml file direct from https://www.ozroads.com.au/rail/

Looks like the 2014 version is still the latest.

The latest 2018 Hairyleg kmz file (4MB file size) is now available from my Google Drive. Hairyleg asked that any comments or questions appear on this Railpage thread. Obviously that is to ensure people can see everyone else's comments so the extra knowledge can be shared. If you make a comment elsewhere that maybe only those who are members of that group can learn from your remarks. Railpage can be easily  viewed by non members

The 2018 version has some proposed lines in the Tenterfield Casino area as they are marked on the historical parish cadastrals obtainable from NSW Historical Land Records Viewer. Perhaps start at either Tenterfield Parish or Tabulam parish around a probably era and follow the marked surveys through the adjoining parish maps http://www.nswlrs.com.au/land_titles/historical_research/parish_maps

EDIT; that NSW Government mapping website for the parish maps has had a security certificate problem notice for the past week     http://www.nswlrs.com.au/land_titles/historical_research/parish_maps

I got that security notice on both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. However, I get through to that NSW Government parish map website without that security certificate notice using ‘Firefox’. browser Thus try different browsers, although we don't really want to clog up the Hairyleg thread with replies about internet browsers please so this is a general message only.

Guys, once we have the server message removed the dev team will move onto the remaining issues to resolve including the download section which gets a lot of hits (or did).

A small omission is the gravel pit tramway at Gherang on the Wensleydale line, Victoria.

Yeah, I'm not dead yet!

Noticed Benwerrin tramway is shown to extend about 2km too far.

Not sure about the 'branch' about 1km north of Benwerrin?.

An enormous project and much appreciated.

Some more observations;

*Queenscliff line continued on to a pier, (long ago demolished), just south of the current ferry terminal.

*Swan island tramway omitted.

*AWI siding at North Shore. Branched off the phosphate sdg. at Seabeach Pde. and headed NNE under a bridge on Walchs Rd.

*Salt tramway North of Point Wilson omitted.

*Belmont Common railway continued NNW, almost to Kmart.

*SEC siding off a trailing junction at the East end of Mackay St. North Geelong. Headed South along the bay side of the power station.

*Simmsmetal siding, West off Ballarat main line. Points roughly near the end of Donga Rd.

*North Geelong grain loop omitted.

*Distillers and Shell Co. sidings Corio.

*There was a works siding in the late 70's north of the Fyansford line. A trailing junction to about -38.111978, 144.347997.

*Cheethams tramway connection to Cheethams siding ran along the East side of Wilsons road.

Are aerial ropeways included? if so, Wensleydale to Bambra.

Had my lunch now, back to the building!
