    Was in Austral Model Craft tonight, they had Southern 48' containers with their branding on it. Couldn't help but pickup a pair. was impressed with the actual containers, apparently 5 other hobby shops across the country have had it done as well.

    Interesting, the 2300/2400 pics have been changed since the blog was first issued. I'd swear the sample pics showed an earlier variant, possibly a 1550'.

    Great news in the latest Blog update regarding the LL coal hoppers.  The tooling samples looked like an "N" scale version with, as Terry would put it, steam roller wheels fitted.  The latest advice from SRM is that the factory has been asked to alter the wheels to RP88 versions and they have agreed.  Fantastic!  The latest 3D versions look much better.

    If you were a female Rocket I would give you a kiss.  Well done!!

    Agreed, but PLEASE give us standard length axles so that those who wish to use other wheel widths, can readily change them. I'd hate to see non-standard axles, as were found in some SDS wagons!

    Yes, I agree with your request.  

    Unfortunately I don't think the Chinese (at least those in our model train building factories) know how to build the models to a standard.  

    Coupler pockets are also a bone of contention with me.  There seems to be no standard applied in this important area.  I like to fit as short a coupler as physically possible.  I hate seeing a non-prototype 12 to 24 scale inches between buffer faces.  Some manufacturers make it extremely difficult to achieve the without completely removing the original housing provided.

    "2300 class disappearing FAST
    As of right now our pre-order sales have gone much better than we expected and we have already SOLD OUT of the following 2300 class numbers:
    2309 bronco model-Q230.1 sound & no sound
    2373 bronco model-Q242 sound & no sound
    2370 (as in WA) model-Q243 sound & no sound...

    BUT there are also VERY FEW left of the remaining.
    We have only forty 12mm gauge models left in all numbers incl. sound - basically two of each.
    We have only 142 left of the 16.5mm gauge versions.
    Please note that it is too late for us to change our planned production run numbers and that whilst we might well do a re-run one day we can't guarantee when that will happen."
