Is there a link to the video that can be shared? I tried a couple of the videos on their feed and saw no red hens Smile

The 30 second version is on the NRM Facebook page and you don't need Facebok to view either.

It’s an Adelaide Uni advertisement. Not Uni SA

When I heard the Redhen horn the other day it made my day.
Hopefully the museum made some revenue from the project.  And hopefully it will promote visits in the future.

Looking at it with tongue firmly in cheek there are a couple of continuity problems.

The rear facing headlight is on low beam, and the rear marker lights are not operating.
No marker lamps present and no guard leaning out of the train to look for late arrivals and to give second right of way.

It in no way detracts from the message of not missing the train by not enrolling.

Seems odd that the nit pickers did not notice it though.

And on watching the advert on the loop I tried to stop it as the dogbox was in the background. It seemed to look like a very long passenger car. Not sure if it was an editing glitch or my imagination.

Happy detailing.

When in operation for any purpose then all doors must be kept shut and locked if the public is involved, so that is why no guard etc to be seen. Also the whims of the director come into play here as he would most probably not be a rail enthusiast but just a director. How many Hollywood or other films or TV shows with trains in them can you fault, just about all of them actually. Not having a go here just pointing this out!

The other thing I noticed is that the dazzle stripe plates were removed, they are usually left in place at the NRM even when they are not running. It might have had to do with upsetting the camera settings or something they are pretty vivid. The advert is different and gets the point across though!

And it appears the train had no engines!! Those from that era will remember the twin revving engines as a Red Hen took off, yet it seems in that ad that the red hens have been converted to electric operations.

There is another advert in the series featuring a silver train and different location.
Can anybody give some guidance on what and where?
